So after 4 years of just casual target shooting with friends, I decided I should get serious and see if I can get a load worked up for my gun and sight it in for big game. I took it to a gunsmith with air and pullers and he couldn’t budge it.I like the fact that they have a hole cross drilled horizontally in the area where the cap sits. These hole direct the blow back gases outward and help split the cap for easy removal. My other choice of nipples would be the Knight "Red Hot". Both nipples come in sizes to fit your rifles. It for some reason the sight is loose, use a solid brass drift and hammer straight down just in front and to the rear of the sight. With a shorter barrel you are going to have a shorter sight radius, and it may be more difficult to get a good sight picture with the shorter barrels as you get older (fuzzy sights front and rear). I personally know a gunsmith who did some of the work. But, Jack supervised and still has his name, and reputation, involved.
